History
The teams this season were much larger than before, with the teams established in season 1 being reinstated as team captains, recruiting the rest of the players. On server start, teams were decided, and they went two separate directions, one northeast and the other southwest. With multiple seasons of experience, both teams very quickly build smelterys and started to collect resources. Both teams settled into mountains, building into caves towards the peaks for easy defensibility. The northeast team got an early lead building a nuclear reactor and ME system very quickly. Both teams kept expanding their bases consistently over the course of the server, ultimately leaving both with massive bases by the end. The southwest build a large castle on their mountain based on the pigs from Angry Birds, while the northeast team build a large complex of bunkers into their mountain based on the White Forest base from Half-life 2 Episode 2. The first war of the server took place half way through, and both teams built war bases closer to spawn. The southwest team built a large fort on top of an acacia hill while the northeast team built a tower and airfield on a large island near spawn. The first war was fought well on both sides, and the southwest team found and destroyed the northeast team's beacon, winning the battle. After this battle, both teams switched strategies. The southwest team moved out of their caste and moved everything into a massive reinforced bunker in a mountain, surrounding it with a large wall, investing in enchanted melee weapons, building a single massive nuclear reactor, and securing the beacon in a vault inside a large series of dangerous tunnels. The northeast team reinforced all doorways with large blast doors, increased their power production with multiple nuclear reactors, mass produced weapons, and built farther underground with multiple layers of fallback defensive positions. When the war finally arrived, the northeast team utilized a secret underground tunnel network to launch a volley of missiles at the southwest team's bunker, however the heavy reinforcement means it was only able to put a dent in the mountainside. The northeast team was able to infiltrate through a small crack in the mountain and push inwards, however the enemy defense was too strong. It was at this point a few problems became apparent. The large world size meant that travel times between the two bases made repeated attacks impossible, as once an attack was defeated, it would take so long to return to the front lines that any advantage gained previously would have been undone. The second was that both teams were incredibly well defended, and attacks on either side were unable to get very far. So, after multiple hours of warfare and rising tensions, the war was called a stalemate. Later in review, the northeast team was declared the winning team. This was because they made it much farther into the southwest team's base than the southwest team had made it into their base, as well as multiple penalties and rule violations called on the southwest team. The effects of this war heavily influenced the server moving forwards.
