History
This season marked an overhaul of the rules and server structure. This was due to the audits that took place at the end of season 5. At the beginning of the server, no teams were assigned, and no military objectives were defined. Because of this, everyone spread out in all different directions, some small groups forming. Everyone started in basic progression, but electrical power was more difficult too obtain this season. The north team got very unlucky, accidentally digging into an abandoned dungeon which happened to be filled with nuclear waste, irritating their base, although it was mostly cleaned up soon after. To address the growing need for electricity, some players came together and built a community power plant and oil refinery, and power lines started to get run to other bases. One small group living just to the west of spawn was the first to reach space, creating all required infrastructure and landing on the moon. It was at this point that players stared to fill more into groups with others, combining resource stocks to further tech progression. The public power plant group finished the power grid project shortly after, as well as beginning construction on the first nuclear power plant on the server. After it went online, power was guaranteed for all players, but initial unreliability of the grid did still mean that smaller personal power plants existed around the server. Later on, another group to the south made a nuclear reactor of their own as part of a larger facility. Excavations for rare ores increased rapidly at this time, as more advanced technology became more expensive. The team to the east, who led the public grid project, invested in an RBMK reactor to generate even more power and enrich rare isotopes of nuclear elements. However, the reactor building exploded, marking what would be the only reactor based nuclear accident on the server. The logical solution to this problem was to launch concrete piercing missiles directly at the reactor building, and after the rubble cleared, a new reactor was built the same way right where the last one was. Much of the surrounding land was irradiated, but more technology was invested to separate more nuclear isotopes for tech progression. At this point, technology was getting more advanced, and multiple ore excavators were constructed around the map, all directing ore into a central ore processing facility. The resources from this accelerated tech progression substantially, and the server entered it's final phase. The south and west teams combined to focus on more technologies, as well as detonating a large nitrogen bomb, creating a massive crater to make room for more construction. The east team, who's land had become even worse at this point, developed a space program of their own, launching a series of rockets into space, creating a space station in orbit, safely above the radiation below. At this point, the war was approaching, however the server had been running for quite a while at this point, and interest in investing time and resources into military technologies was lacking. So, for the first time in the server's history, the war was canceled in favor of a server wide battle royale followed by a final server event, in which a mining satellite was pulled out of orbit, leaving a 1000x1000 block crater when it hit the surface, crashing the server, and marking the end. Ultimately, nobody came even close to beating the server's tech progression, in fact even the digital miner was never reached
